Zeaxanthin, also known as Zeaxanthin, is a new kind of oil-soluble natural pigment that is commonly found in green leafy vegetables, flowers, fruits, Chinese wolfberry, and yellow corn. It is an isomer with lutein and is a type of oxygen-containing carotenoid (Xanthophyll). Most zeaxanthin found in nature are all-trans isomers (AlLE-ISo-Mer). This pigment often coexists with lutein, β-carotene, and cryptoxanthin to form carotenoid mixtures.
